A remarkably rare and exceptional early work by Dubuffet. One of only three; the first in the edition (A) is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. The third (C) belongs to the museum of the Commune of Rueil-Malmaison, France. This image was used on the posters for an exhibition of Dubuffet's work at Galerie André, Paris, 1945 and at the Musée Du Touquet-Paris-Plage, 1995.
