Helen Frankenthaler

Helen Frankenthaler (1928–2011), whose career spanned six decades, has long been recognized as one of the great American artists of the twentieth century. A member of the second generation of postwar American abstract painters, she is widely credited with playing a pivotal role in the transition from Abstract Expressionism to Color Field painting. Through her invention of the soak-stain technique, she expanded the possibilities of abstraction, while at times referencing figuration and landscape in highly personal ways. She produced a body of work whose impact on contemporary art has been profound and continues to grow.

How much does shipping cost and how long does it take?

Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase. Shipping is completed through a registered carrier, such as FedEx. Oversized orders may use a private carrier, however we will reach out to you if that is the case. Are items shipped framed?

For the safety of the works in transit, all prints, works on paper, and editions are shipped unframed. Please note that some items may show framed options, however framing is only available through in-person pickup.
What is the return policy?

Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. However items from the Editions Shop are final sale. If you are not happy with your purchase, reach out to the print department.
