Rukaj Gallery is pleased to present Tritan Braho | Balance. In his third solo show with the gallery, Braho (b. 1967) gives the viewer insight into the last six years of his practice. Executing only a handful of paintings annually, Braho's intense study of still life and snapshots from daily life inform most of his work.

When receiving his MFA from Central Saint Martins, Braho's still life images began loosening up in their relationship to the plane. Recent works such as Nails II and Eggshells feature abstract backdrops which set the stage for his high-realism work. Braho often investigates feelings of stillness and tranquility in the everyday. Balanced images that are both striking and contain a strong sense of mystery and Hopper-esque wonder.
